PART ONE

The student will evaluate a source and determining its reliability, validity, authority and point of view [using this template]. Note you should he able to do two article reviews on one page

In this assessment, each  student will review the TWO articles listed below for Homework review

• Determine author’s background/authority/expertise
• Determine validity of statements/evidence
• Determine author’s purpose (to inform/ persuade/entertain)
• Determine author’s use of facts/opinion and point of view (bias/opinion)

At the end of the review each student will write 1-2 paragraphs explaining what they understood the purpose of the article and rationale for the ratings
