The Coach House is one of the oldest restaurants
established located in Scottsdale, AZ. It is a small restaurant/bar that can
hold a maximum occupancy of 300 people. The owner, Jim Brower, is looking to
upgrade his restaurant to offer state of the art IT services. Some of the
specific items that Jim is looking to implement include the following:
Computerized ordering system that downloads into a database
Security Cameras that can be viewed on a private Internet
address
Table-to-table wireless messaging along with game
playing(ie trivia)
Other items that Jim would like to see available at each
table include a monitor that allows for the following:
*
selectable "news" pages (CNN, USA Today, etc.)
* sports
scores
* polling/voting
*
cigarette (cigar) ordering(!) -- extra sales opportunity (also,
sponsorship/advertising opportunities)
·
"Call
a taxi" requests -- put in time, name & destination
This
project requires you to analyze the current traditional methods of operations
and determine the proper necessary technology needed to create these
improvements. In addition, you will want to consider training and capital
requirements as well as a reasonable timeline for implementation.
